Estelle L. (Magnant) Maynard, 87, of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Lawrence R. Maynard.
Mrs. Maynard was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Arthur and Eveline (Carrier) Magnant and had resided in the city since 1993. Prior to her retirement in 1980, she worked as a Registered Nurse for various New Bedford area nursing homes. She was a faithful and devout Catholic and a communicant of St. George Church, Westport.
Survivors include her 4 sons: Richard Maynard, Paul Maynard, Marc Maynard and William Maynard; 3 daughters: Susan McConnell, Catherine Casagrande and Jacqueline Jung; a brother: Dr. George Magnant; 2 sisters: Claire Magnant and Janet Mathieu; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, September 30, 2019 from the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport, MA 02790 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-7 P.M.
Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford.
