Obituary

Grafton- Judith A. McKenzie, 81, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at UMass University Campus. She is survived by two daughters- Donna M. Crowley and her husband Edward Jr. of Shrewsbury, and Debra A. Stellato and her husband Stephen Staffieri; two sons - Mark R. Stellato and his wife Eva, and Michael A. Stellato and his wife Dana; seven grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Susan Hayes and her brother Bradley McKenzie.

Judith was born in Worcester, daughter of the late James B. McKenzie and Hildegarde (Nordwell). She worked for the town of Shrewsbury with SELCO for many years. Upon leaving Shrewsbury she worked for the Assessor’s office in Northborough until her retirement. While she was retired she volunteered her time working for the Assessor’s office in Grafton. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Worcester. Judith enjoyed spending time at the Grafton Senior Center where she was very well loved.

Judith, or Grandma Kitty as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren, was a very bright, caring and loving woman. She took pride in her garden, her cats and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Spending time with her friends was also something that brought her great joy whether she was throwing a party for one of them or just watching a movie. She was very proud to call herself a “Stubborn Swede."

A memorial calling hour will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 4-5pm at Nordgren Funeral Home, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. A memorial service will follow at 5pm in the funeral home. There is no burial but her remains are to be scattered in accordance to her wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MSPCA or Metrowest Humane Society.
