John E. Hooley, a 16 year resident of Cambridge and formerly of Charlestown and Plymouth, entered into eternal life on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the house of his very dedicated friends in Charlestown. He was 71 years of age.
John was born in Medford on June 4, 1948, a son of the late John E. Hooley and Thomasina C. (Casey) Hooley. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Boston English High School in 1966. John furthered his education and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Boston State College. John worked within the Theater industry in Boston for many years and was a former member of The International Association of Stage and Theater Employees Union Local # 11. John enjoyed sailing and spending as much time of his life at the ocean. John was a dedicated and dear friend of "Bill W".
John is the beloved son of the late John E. Hooley and Thomasina C. (Casey) Hooley. He is the beloved brother of the late Margaret Hooley, Maryann Hooley and Richard Hooley. He is the dear and devoted friend of Susie and Tommy Howard and his many other friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend John's Funeral Mass on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 11 A.M. in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown. His burial is private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
