Patrick Leroy "Pat" Capps, 76, of Anderson, died September 18, 2019, at Bethany Pointe Health Campus after a brief illness.
He was born August 26, 1943, in Mecca, the son of Joe and Mary (Murphy) Capps.
He was the owner and operator of Pat's Salvage and Auto Parts for 30 years and Pat's Hideaway Bar for four years. He liked to watch his grandson's race; NASCAR, mushroom hunt and hanging out with his friends to have a beer.
Pat is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dianne (Remley) Capps of Anderson; three children, Sally Winningham, Teresa (Tom) Gossar and Patrick "Ricky" Capps all of Markleville; two sisters, Catherine Curry of Anderson and Helena "Bea" Shoemaker of Clinton, IN; six grandchildren, Lindsay (Jason) Myers of FL; Blake (Amanda) Ludwig of Middletown, Kiley Winningham of Muncie, Thomas (special friend Mandy) Gossar of Markleville, Trent (Jessica) Gossar of Anderson and Ashley (Johnny) Jones of Anderson; eight great-grandchildren, Calissa, Brynley, Austin, Addison, Raelynn, Angel, MacKenzie and Maci; three special friends, Rick Copeland, Sandy Groons and Judy Wallace all of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Pat is preceded in death by his parents, five siblings, David, John and Bill Capps, Peggy Fisher and Sharon James and a granddaughter, Brandi Lyons Capps.
Service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with burial following at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the funeral home.
