Larry Martin, 76, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Thursday, September 19, 2019, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Monday, September 23, 2019, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, with the Rev. David Biggers officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from, 6 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Martin was born May 14, 1943, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late O’Neal & Sarah Winslett Martin. He was an electrician for Hornbuckle Gas and Ferrell Gas. Mr. Martin loved to sing and cook.
He is survived by his children: Honey-Marie Rugg of Ocilla, Kathryn Yeater of Ocala, Florida and Candice Snow & Rob of Canada; nine grandchildren: Christopher Rugg, Jr., Annabella Rugg, Jennifer Rugg, Shawn Rugg, Ryan Rugg, Jonathan Rugg, Joey Yeater, Brittany Yeater and Brandon Yeater and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris J. “Nettie” Martin and a sister, Nancy Cowart.
