Mary (Oliveira) Rogers 98, of Ocala, FL died Sunday September 15, 2019 at Canterfield of Ocala Assisted Living. She was the wife of the late Joseph "Jedge" Rogers; they were married for 69 years.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Michael Oliveira and Josephine Perreira. She lived in New Bedford, Westport, and for the last 29 years in Florida.
Mrs. Rogers was formerly employed at Frances P. Memorial Hospital as a housekeeper.
Mary loved to travel throughout the United States as well as Mexico, Canada, the Bahamas, and Paris, France. She also loved to crochet .
Mary leaves behind three children, Sheila Allen of Ocala, FL, Edward J. Rogers and his wife Mary Ann of New Bedford, and Sondra Charrette of Coconut Creek, FL; three granddaughters, Desiree F. Charrette, Tiffani N. Rogers, and Mecaela A. Rogers; and many nephews and nieces.
She was the mother of the late Raymond Rogers and sister to the late August Sousa, Antone Cardoza, Raymond Cardoza, and George Barros.
Her Funeral will be held on Saturday September 21, 2019 at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM.
