LEICESTER: Carl A. Larson, 61, of Leicester died peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 7 in his home after an illness.
He leaves his twin brother and caretaker Robert A. "Bob" Larson with whom he lived, his Godmother Elizabeth Larson, a good friend Scott Tompkins, an aunt and uncle from Torrington, CT and many cousins.
Carl was born in Worcester, son of Arvid F. and Lena E. (Aldrich) Larson. He graduated from Leicester High School and attended Rhode Island Trade School in Providence, R.I. He worked for many years as an auto body mechanic and with small engines through out Worcester County. If Carl couldn't fix it, nobody could. He was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping and racing snow sleds throughout New England. The Bombardier Co. asked him to race for them as an independent years ago. Carl's brother Bob would like to thank Care Dimensions of Lincoln, Brigham & Women's Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Center and the Overlook Hospice for their excellent care.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester is directing funeral arrangements.
