Fall River – Joan M. (Rubbo) Hale, 72, of Fall River passed away September 9, 2019 at St. Anne’s Hospital. She was the former wife of Jerry Hale of Fall River.
Mrs. Hale was born in New York City, daughter of the late Ralph and Celia (Celletti) Rubbo, and resided in Fall River for the past 30 years. She was employed as an Activities Assistant by the Westport Council on Aging until her retirement. She was an avid Red Sox fan and found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her former husband, she is survived by her grandson: Matthew J. Hale and his husband William of Fall River; a sister: Mae Lima and her husband, Anthony, of Fall River; a niece: Melissa Lima and her partner, Shawn Medeiros of Dartmouth; a great nephew: Kevin Medeiros of Dartmouth; a great niece: Sarah Medeiros and her partner, Richard Lema, of Dartmouth; and a great great nephew: R.J. Lema of Dartmouth. She was aunt of the late Celia Lima.
