Obituary

Aldair Pedro Semedo Cabral, 25, of New Bedford died Sunday September 8, 2019.

Aldair was born August 17, 1994 in Sao Nicolau, Cape Verde. He came to America at the age of three years old. He was a very happy and active kid growing up. He began playing soccer at the age of 11 years old and it became his passion to always play. Through the years Aldair became a great goal keeper and became well known in the game of soccer and with his teammates.

Aldair was a loving father of two beautiful girls, whom he made his life’s goal to work and take care and raise them. His hopes were to see his daughters grow, go to school, graduate and eventually see them marry their own best friend.

Aldair leaves behind his wife, Destiny DaSilva Cabral, his beautiful daughters, Cassandra and Paris Cabral, his mother, Maria Celeste Semedo Sousa, his father, Joao Jose Cabral, his stepfather, Manuel Sousa, his siblings, Leila Araujo-Lopes, Klisman Sousa, Bill Sousa, and Biloiss Sousa; his grandparents,Manuela DeBrito and Manuel Semedo, a niece and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.

He may no longer be here but he is within our hearts forever watching us live on. Aldair’s energy and contagious smile and laughter will always be remembered by those who knew him.

His visiting hours will be held on Friday September 13, 2019 from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Service at 8 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
