Marie C. (Parziale) Haggerty, lifelong resident of Medford, passed away on Sunday, September 8th. She was 93. Born in Boston, and raised in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Anna (Gallo) Parziale.
Marie enjoyed playing bingo, trips to the casino, and going out bowling with her friends. Marie's biggest passion was making sure that her daughter Kathryn was well cared for and Marie did just that by dedicating the last 25 years of her life as her loving caretaker.
Marie was the beloved wife of the late John H. Haggerty. She was the devoted mother of Kathryn M. Haggerty, and Joan F. Haggerty-Hiltz and her husband Allan. She was the loving Nana of Daniel Hiltz. She was the dear sister of Katie Wilson and her husband Frank, Rose Bezjian, Christine McCann and her husband Dickie, and the late Jimmy Parziale, Mike Parziale, Rosalie Geddick, Louis Parziale and his surviving wife Kathleen and Anna Parziale.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Saturday, September 14th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
