Dean Paul Duefrene, 51, died Sunday, September 8, 2019 surrounded by his family.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Mary E. (Leofanti) Rousseau. Dean had lived in Johnston previously living in Smithfield. Dean had worked as a truck driver for Centrex Distributors of West Greenwich for many years, and had previously been an employee of Douglas Lumber in Smithfield. He was a member of Teamster Local #251.
Dean enjoyed getting together with his family and friends. He was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his sister, Dawn M. Ferraro of Smithfield, his niece Emma M. Ferraro of Smithfield as well as many relatives and close friends. He is predeceased by his brother, Charlie Duefrene.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 11th at 10:00am in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be private. Visitation Tuesday from 4-7pm.
