SPRINGFIELD ~ Koula (Anterioti) Glassanos, 93, of the East Forest Park section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, September 8, 2019. She passed into Eternal Life at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born in Mendenitsa, Greece on April 22, 1926, a beloved daughter of the late Christos Anteriotis and Paraskevi (Kordopati) Anterioti. She was raised in Molos, Greece and came to Springfield around 1958. She was a communicant of Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Springfield. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry G. Glassanos who was Called Home on February 19, 1991. She leaves her loving son, Paul C. Glassanos of Springfield; her daughter, Mary Crampton of San Francisco, CA; her three grandsons; her sister, Maria Xriskos of Molos, Greece; and her many nephews, nieces and extended family members. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her two brothers, George and Niko Anteriotis. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107. Her funeral will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 2320 Main Street, Springfield, MA 01107, (Please meet directly at the Cathedral). Her burial will follow the funeral service at Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay Street, Springfield, MA 01109.
