WORCESTER___Lillian Ruth (Lohnes) Riley, 82, of Worcester died January 18 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 119 Belmont St. Her husband of 47 years, Frederick J. Riley died in 1993.
She leaves a son, Brian J. Riley and his wife Maryrose, a daughter, Karen L. Ford and her husband Glenn, all of Worcester; a brother, William Lohnes of Franklin; a sister, Jeannette Nutter of Holden; four grandchildren, Kara Ford, Brian, Jamie and Kaitlyn Riley and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother and a sister, Henry Lohnes and Mary Geary. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Angus and Delia Lohnes and lived here all her life.
Lillian was a homemaker and loved cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She enjoyed listening to music and had an extensive album collection. She was a former member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.
The funeral will be held on Friday January 20 with a service at 10 am in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday January 19 from 5 to 8 pm.
