Cecile G. Loughman, age 90, passed away at home due to complications of Alzheimer’s, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 20, 1929 in Chicopee, a daughter of the late Louis and Alda (Supernaut) Parent. Cecile was a communicant of the former St Patrick’s Parish. She worked at Dow Jones for 20 years before she retired. Cecile enjoyed playing Bingo, living in and traveling to St Petersburg, FL but above all she loved to spend time with her family. She is predeceased by her husband Edward J. Loughman, her son Gary P. Loughman and her granddaughter Elizabeth. She is survived by 3 sons, David M. Loughman and his wife Diane of Agawam, Richard E. Loughman and his wife Paula of Pelham and Dean M. Loughman and his long time companion Debbie Bressette of Chicopee; 1 daughter Ellen Spadoni and her husband Aldo of Chicopee; 1 brother Gerard Parent and his wife Pat of Chicopee; 2 sisters Julie Quenville of South Hadley and Marcelle Parent of Springfield; 4 grandchildren, Kimberly, Scott, Nicole and Jessica along with 7 great grandchildren. She is also predeceased by her siblings John Parent, Terry Soucy, Claire Landry, Leona Rivest, Sr. Alice Parent and Estelle Kindness. The family would like to thank the staff at the Mercy Life Cacc Program especially Lisa and CC who took such great care of Cecile. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise` Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019 at 10:00 AM followed by an in house Prayer Service at 11:00 Am in the Grise Funeral Home. Burial will take place in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Chicopee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer ’s Disease Association, 264 Cottage St, Springfield.
