Obituary

Rebecca “Becky” Faye Hutto, 80, of Tifton passed away on September 7, 2019, at her home with family by her side. Her memorial service will be held during the morning worship service on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at 10:45 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronny Vice officiating. Mrs. Hutto will be laid to rest with her husband at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Born to the late R.P. and Myrtle Ann Amason, May 23, 1939, in Clay County, Alabama, she was a woman with a kind and noble heart, who was lovingly nicknamed “Granmer” by her grandchildren.

“And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ”. Ephesians 4:32

Her life was a living example of this verse. She loved many and was loved and cherished in return by those she touched throughout her life; Becky never met a stranger. She loved the beach and spending time outside in her yard. She loved coloring and crossword puzzles. She loved the holidays and spending time with her family. She loved her children and grandchildren, loved “snuggles and kisses” from her great grandchildren. She enjoyed watching her family grow. She loved her church and the Lord our God.

Rebecca was predeceased by her husband Billy Jack Hutto, her parents R.P. and Myrtle Ann Amason, and her sister Margaret L. Evans.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted”. Matthew 5:4

Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, Steve Hutto of Donalsonville, Gloria and Ken Beasley, Andrea Hutto and Kirk Hutto, all of Tifton; grandchildren, Zoe and Tyrone Dean, Candice and Jeremy Dean, Patrick and Tammie Beasley and Alexis and Gabriel Lunsford; great grandchildren, Charley and Norah Dean, Regan Dean, Garrett Beasley and Thea Lunsford; and nieces and nephews.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”. Philippians 4:7

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org; and to Grace Baptist Church, 1900 Golden Road West, Tifton, GA 31793.
