Bruno A. Luzzo, of Medford, formerly of Boston's North End, passed away on Thursday, September 5th. He was 89. Born and raised in Boston, he was the son of the late Francesco and Antionetta (Chirico) Luzzo.
Bruno loved to spend time with his family especially his grandsons and great-grandchildren they were his pride and joy. Bruno had a kind disposition and a heart full of compassion that he shared with everyone.
When Bruno was not spending time with his family, you could find him scratching his daily scratch tickets, reading the Boston Herald, enjoying a hot cup of coffee while watching Judge Judy, making frequent trips to Mohegan Sun, indulging in anything that was sweet and tasty like jelly doughnuts, strawberry sundaes, cakes, coffee rolls, ice cream, cookies or sharing a box of chocolates with his beloved great-grand daughter Vienna.
Bruno was the beloved husband of the late Shirley A. (Camuso) Luzzo. He was the devoted father of Frank Luzzo and his wife Tillie of Woburn, Robert Luzzo and his late wife Virginia of Saugus, and the late Ricky Luzzo. He was the loving Papa of Michael, Stephen, Robert Jr., Joseph and Derek, and the great-papa of Vienna and Dominic. He was the dear brother of Anthony Luzzo, Mary Butler, Vincent Luzzo, and the late Rose Toscano and Anna Rago.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Tuesday, September 10th at noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 10 to noon. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
