James L. Houghton passed away at his home in Spring Hill Florida on Friday, August 2. Jim was born and raised in New Bedford, MA, served as a police officer for the City of New Bedford, and was a Vietnam Veteran where he received The Purple Heart Medal.
Jim loved to ride his Harley, go camping, fishing, relax on his boat, and listen to the Red Sox. He also loved to cook and would host clam boils at the Washington Club and VFW.
He leaves behind his wife Anne and her three children, David Barboza, Pamela Santos, and Bryan Barboza, as well as his two sons James Houghton and Thomas Houghton; his brother Robert Houghton and his wife Josephine.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, September 12th, 2019 from 5pm to 8pm at Perry Funeral Home.
