Frances M. ‘Frannie’ (Lane) Garrow, 75, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, with her family by her side following a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Franklin T. and Helen M. (Podgayski) Lane. She leaves her daughter and Best Friend, Michelle M. Garrow of Salem, her former husband Bob Garrow of Peabody, and her “other Kid” Kathy “Ta” O’Donnell of Lynn, with a special thank you to Kathy for the last three months of love, care and support for Mom.
Born in Lynn and raised in Salem, Frannie was a graduate of St. James High School. She worked for Dr. Patrick Curtin for the last 45 years as office manager and Dental Assistant. It was a job she loved doing; taking care of her patients as if they were family. Frannie was loved by all. She was a feisty, somewhat “fresh,” very funny and mildly sarcastic lady to all who knew her. She possessed a kind soul and spirit that would do anything for anyone who crossed her path. Frannie was always eager to help people along their way. Her warmth, care and humor will be greatly missed by many.
