New Bedford – Robert H. Haskell, 74, of New Bedford passed away August 28, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Mr. Haskell was born in New Bedford, son of the late Rescome F. and Myrtle E. (Braley) Haskell, and resided in the greater New Bedford area all of his life. He worked as a fish cutter at various local fish houses and was more recently employed at Walmart. He was a past president of the local Seafood Workers Union. He was a history buff, enjoyed dancing and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his daughter: Elizabeth E. Haskell; 2 sons: Daniel D. and Robert R. Haskell; a stepdaughter: Leilani L. Hamaya; a stepson: Carl Achorn, Jr.; a granddaughter: Jiniah J. Haskell; a step-granddaughter: Persephone A. Cosmo; 3 brothers: George C., Rescome F., Jr. “Ricky”, and Daniel Haskell; 2 sisters: Linda Luiz and Linda Longo; and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by 2 sisters: Frances E. Cunha and Betty Soares
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Kirby Funeral Home, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford on Sunday, September 1, 2019, 3:00-5:30 P.M. followed immediately by a funeral service at 5:30 P.M.
