God sent His angels to the Clark home to escort our beloved Nell to her heavenly home.
Nelda "Nell" (Day) Clark, 79, Shirley, died August 28, 2019 at her residence.
She was born January 23, 1940, in Burkesville, Kentucky, the daughter of Thomas and Nina (Carter) Day. Nell graduated from Anderson High School in 1957 and worked 31.5 years at Delco Remy in Anderson. She was a member of Free Will Baptist Church and United Auto Workers Local 662. Nell enjoyed sewing, gardening and flower arranging.
Nell is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gary J. Clark of Shirley whom she married April 4, 1969; two sons, Jeffery L. Porter and Edward M. Clark; grandson, Joshua Fountain; great granddaughters, Destiny Reece and Alexis Fountain; sister, Shirley Boyd and brother, Michael Day and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Nell was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Wilma "Janie" Holland and her best friend, Jerri McClintick..
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. John Crisp officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
