Obituary

Joyce E. Carreiro of Provincetown died Wednesday, August 21st at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis after a short battle with cancer. She was 74.

Born in Ocean City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Ervin and Dorothy [Robinson] Crowers. She met her late husband, Provincetown native Gerald E. Carreiro, Sr. at Bentley College in Boston. They married shortly thereafter, and moved to Provincetown.

She is survived by sons, Edward Scott Carreiro of Provincetown, Gerald E. Carreiro, Jr. and wife Patti of Wellfleet; grandchildren; Ken Carreiro, Jon Carreiro, Jenna Carreiro and Coty Carreiro as well as a sister, Linda Rogers of Bradenton, FL. She also leaves her very good friend, Berta Romano of Provincetown. Her husband predeceased her in 2009.

Friends are invited to join with the family in a graveside Committal Service at 10:00 am Saturday, August 31st at St Peters Cemetery, Jerome Smith Road, Provincetown.

Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 125 S Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130 or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 60 Walnut St # 102, Wellesley, MA 02481.
