Marian G. Harrison of Provincetown died Saturday, August 3rd at Seashore Point Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Provincetown. She was 81.
Born and raised in Manhattan, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Grace Harrison. She received her Bachelor’s Degree at New York’s City College and earned an MA in Art History from Columbia University.
Marian worked as an Art Curator at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art.
She left her home in New York and came to Provincetown with her mother in the late 1980’s. Her mother predeceased her.
Marian loved tennis and was said to have played at a competitive level. She enjoyed dining out and always had her beloved springer spaniels by her side. Her last spaniel ‘Misty’ was forever in her mind.
She leaves a brother, Richard Wheeler Harrison, PhD of Naples Florida.
A Calling Hour, celebrating of her life will take place Wednesday, October 2nd from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. A private disposition of her cremains will follow.
