Mark Allen Johns, 68, of Alexandria died August 21, 2019 at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center.
He was born May 4, 1951, in Anderson, the son of JD and Phyllis (Peterson) Johns, graduating from Highland High School in 1971.
Mark served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam War.
He worked production at Firestone and ABC Rail and was a bartender at Moose Lodge, Abels and Amvets. Mark enjoyed shuffleboard, bowling and going to movies. Mark loved his dog, "Bandit" and enjoyed taking him to the park. Mark was a member of American Legion Post 408 and the Eagles Lodge 1771 in Alexandria.
He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Johns of Alexandria; two sons, Jeff (Angel Gibbons) Johns of Indianapolis and Cody Johns of Pendleton; five siblings, Carol Reeder (Jeff Martin) of Alexandria, Larry (Debbie) Johns of Texas, Debbie (Scott) McIntire of Portage,, Scott Johns of Alexandria and Sharon Johns of Anderson; granddaughter, Ellie Johns of Indy; several aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father JD Johns.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service where military rites will be conducted. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at a later date at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society..
