Rohnell Y. Harper, 83, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, August 24, 2019, at the Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Dan Hughes & Rev. Justin McCrimmon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Harper was born February 13, 1936, to the late J.B. & Lula Mae Yeargin Young. She lived in the community all of her life and was an Avon representative for approximately 30 years and also served as a trainer and supervisor. She enjoyed working in her yards, cooking and caring for others. She was always kind to others and had a daily routine of calling her sister every morning and night. Mrs. Harper was a member of Pine Level United Methodist Church, where she also served as a Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by a sister, Frances Sheffield Merritt of Fitzgerald and a nephew, E. Brant Sheffield, III of Fitzgerald. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mose William “Buddy” Harper; a sister, Mary Corneilus Cole and a nephew, Brandon Jay Sheffield.
