William J. Glynn Sr., 86, of Franklin, formerly of Brockton, passed away suddenly August 16, 2019 in Providence, RI.
He was born on December 30, 1932 in Boston. Husband of the late Patricia L. (Crowell) Glynn. Son of the late Samuel Glynn and Mary L. (Hurney) Glynn.
Loving father of William J. Jr. and his wife Karen of FL and James P. and his wife Suzanne of Brockton. Devoted Papa of Ryan, Tyler, Paul and Ashley. Brother of Rose Hough of Plymouth, Robert Glynn of Carver, and Joseph Glynn of South Hill, VA and the late Ann Dutra and John Glynn.
William was a machinist for Boston Gear Works of Quincy, and a proud United States Army veteran of the Korean War.
There will be a 1 hour visitation for family and friends on Friday August 23 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), 131 Main Street from 10am to 11am followed by burial in Mass National Cemetery, Bourne, Massachusetts at 1:15 p.m.
