Irene (Lehane) Bentley, a resident of Brooksville, Florida, formerly of Medford and wife of Richard Bentley, passed away at the Toby Hospital in Wareham, Massachusetts, on Sunday evening, August 11, 2019. She was 70 years old.
Born in Malden, Massachusetts, on April 10, 1949, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Mary (Sullivan) Lehane. Irene was employed by Verizon, for many years. In her spare time, Irene loved to pool-hopping. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was alway’s willing and available to help anyone in need. She also enjoyed crocheting and had a special love for her dog Ginger. She will be dearly missed.
Irene is survived by her loving son; Roy Bentley of Medford, siblings; Dorothy Harrell of Kokomo, Indiana, Jackie Lehane of Marlboro, Patsy Cameron of Stoneham, Larry Lehane of Malden and Connie Holland of Malden and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mary McKinnon and Jimmy Lehane.
Her funeral service will be celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Monday, August 19, 2019, at 7 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend.
