Age 84 of Maplewood. Ted was called home on August 10, 2019. We say goodbye with heavy hearts. Preceded in death by parents, Ernest & Amazia; loving friend, Nancy; siblings, Bette, Rob, David, Paul, Audrey, & Marcella. Survived by children, Jeff (Shelly), Michele (Larry) DeMarre, Danny (his loving cat, Clyde), & Karen (Amitabh) Tipnis; mother of his children & lifelong friend, Kathleen; loyal companion & friend, Boots; grandchildren, Stephanie (Chris) Widing, Sasha (Mike Howard) DeMarre, Daniel, & Jackson DeMarre; siblings, Jowan and Lenny; sister in law, Karen; brother in law, Ronnie Arneberg; other relatives, friends and neighbors. Ted loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed nature, his Texas holdem family, sitting by the lake, golf and dancing. Owner and barber at Curly's Barbershop for 59 years. Ted had a quick wit and always had a twinkle in his eye. He was the winner of the Good Neighbor Award. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, August 21, 2019, 11:00 AM at CHURCH OF ST. PETER, 2600 N. Margaret St., North St. Paul with Visitation starting at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Wildlife Rehab, Raptor Center or any organization that serves homeless or under privileged animals. "I call a spade a spade."
