LACONIA-----Eleanor Mae Girard, 76, of Cleveland Place, died on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at home.
Eleanor was born on February 24, 1943, in Laconia, the daughter of the late Fredrick T. and Elizibeth (McAllister) Twarog.
Eleanor loved the beach and would spend her vacations there. She enjoyed playing bingo and relaxing with her dog, Taffy. Eleanor was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post 1 and the Rod and Gun of Laconia.
Eleanor is survived by her son, Jeffrey S. Girard and his wife, Juanita of Berlin, NH; two daughters, Kim Bouchard and her husband, Kevin of Manchester and Tammy Haddock and her husband, Chris of Laconia; eight grandchildren, Tim Bouchard, Melissa Girard, Kev Bouchard, Paul Dunham, Kristian Brown, Brandon Brown, Mika Haddock, and Kyle Bouchard; ten great grandchildren, Jacob Bouchard, Baylee Bouchard, Kaylee Bouchard, Mackenzye Dunham, Brandie Gauther, Devin Gauther, Elizibeth Hayes, Lily Hayes, Nik Patten, and Arya Huot; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Paul Girard.
There will be no calling hours.
There will be a small family gathering on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
