Marjorie A. (Walsh) Vorrosso, 74, of Whitman, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday August 7th. She was the wife of the late Francis Vorrosso and the late William Quimby.
She was born May 1, 1945 in Boston to the late James and Catherine (Dowd) Walsh
After many years working to raise her family, Marge retired as a banker.
Her passions included, roller-skating and was awarded a State Championship in her division as a young woman.
She had a beautiful hand at decorating and loved to shop to fulfill her visions. She found much joy in music and was a woman of great faith who practice the word of the Lord.
Loving mother of Diane Byron and her husband Mark of Whitman, Susan Goodwin and her husband Fred of Braintree, William Quimby of Taunton, Patricia Vernon and her husband Paul of Bridgewater, Teresa Quimby of Whitman, whom she lived with for the past 10 years and John Quimby of Norton, also survived by her sister Janet Fougere and her husband Richard of Hanson. She was also the sister of the late Karen Heraty and her late husband Gene. Marge had 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She will be forever loved and missed.
Her services will be held on Tuesday August 13th at 8:15 from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the St. Bridget Church, Abington. Interment will be in the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visitation will be on Monday August 12th from 5:00-8:00PM.
