Dana A. Gomes, 57, of New Bedford passed away Sunday August 4, 2019 at home after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Hilda (Duarte) Gomes and Tony Gomes, he lived in New Bedford all of his life. He was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
Dana was formerly employed as an orderly at St. Luke's Hospital for many years until his retirement.
He is survived by his siblings, Nancy Martin, RoseMarie Wills and her husband Raymond, and Todd Gomes; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday August 10, 2019 at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9-11 AM prior to the service. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
