Deborah R. "Debadoo" (Medeiros) Santos, 63, of Taunton passed away Thursday August 1, 2019 unexpectedly at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late John and Rosamond (Reed) Medeiros, she was raised in Fairhaven. She lived in New Bedford for many years before moving to Taunton.
She served faithfully on Earth, adoring her children and all of the Lord’s creation. She dedicated her life to advocating for all animals, especially her kitties. She loved to garden and flowers were her friends. She was also a very inspired artist, writer and poet. She was an Angel here on Earth and a gift to all’s paths of whom she crossed. Her work on Earth continues from Heaven, she will forever be loved and remembered.
Survivors include her son, Carl Santos, Jr. and his companion Sonia, of New Bedford; three daughters, Monique Santos and Kara Santos, both of New Bedford and Tami Libby-Santos and her wife Heather of Taunton, four sisters, Dorothy Machado, Ruth Medeiros, Shirley Santos and her husband Sebastian, and Gayle Jones and her husband Larry; seven grandchildren, Tyrone Mendes, Shaquille Mendes and his fiancée Heather, Tylor Santos and his wife Kiara, Carl Santos III, Kelsey Santos, Kylie Libby-Santos, Kamron Libby-Santos; eight great-grandchildren, Anyis Mendes, Aviah Mendes, Ari'Anna Mendes, Ja'Vaughn Mendes, Unek Mendes, Aubrey Santos, Isaac Santos and Lylah Johnson; numerous cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and her dearest friends, Richard and Joan Hinton.
She was predeceased by her brothers John Medeiros, Jr. and Charles Medeiros.
Her visiting hours will be held on Saturday August 10, 2019 from 2-5 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
