Margaret was raised and educated in Brighton and was a graduate of St. Columbkille High School. She worked for several years as an Administrative Assistant in the Banking Industry. Mostly devoted to her family, Margaret enjoyed and cherished her time with her children and especially with her grandchildren. She was happiest when she was surrounded by those she loved. In her leisure time she like to attend bingo, play scratch tickets and take the occasional trip to the casino to try her luck. She will fondly be remembered for her devotion to her husband, children and grandchildren who were her primary focus in life.
In addition to her husband, Margaret is survived by her children, Joseph Ropple Jr. and his wife Jenny of California, Susan Linder and her husband Mike of Millbury, Judy Ropple and her husband Vernon of Alton, NH, David Ropple and his wife Coral of Derry, NH, and Debra Capano and her husband Dante of Lynn. She is also survived by eleven loving grandchildren. Sister of Barbara Hickey of Virginia, John Burke of Brockton, and Jerry Burke of Lynn. Margaret is sadly predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Friday, August 9th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Margaret's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospitals for Children - Boston, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
