Susanne Lorraine Raymond, 73 of Manchester New Hampshire passed away peacefully on August 1, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Susanne “Houle” was born September 18, 1945 in Manchester New Hampshire. The oldest child of Julian and Lorraine Houle (deceased). She was a graduate of Memorial High school followed by employment at International Paper Company. She married Chet Raymond whom she had 4 children within 5 years. She devoted her life to her 4 children Nancy Raymond Vukmirovits of Worcester MA, Matthew Raymond of Manchester NH, Patty Raymond Quagliaroli of Windsor Locks CT and Christopher Raymond of Manchester NH. She adored her 5 Grandchildren and was known as “Grams” Isabella and Ben Vukmirovits, James and Lia Quagliaroli and Brystol Raymond.
Her family and friends describe her as being kind, compassionate funny, thoughtful and generous. She was a friend to anyone who needed one. She was an avid knitter, of blankets, scarfs and slippers. She frequently embroidered keepsakes for her family. When she was not crocheting or knitting you could her hear in the kitchen singing. She hosted holiday gatherings for the entire family and would refer them to a labor of love. Her smile and hospitality will be greatly missed.
She was preceded by her close brother Marc Denny and longtime companion Afee Ameen. She is survived by her two sisters Priscilla Cassin and Caroline Tanner, Sister in law Pamela Denny, nephew Aaron Denny, nephew Seth Cassin and niece Melissa Tanner.
A service will be held at J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home in Manchester New Hampshire on Friday August 9th, 2019 from 4-6 pm. At 5:30 pm Father Delisle will provide a brief service.
