Ana M. (Pereira) Simas, of Medford, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, August 4th. She was 68. Born and raised in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Ilda (Tome) Pereira.
Ana loved to spend time with her daughter and extended family. Ana's family were her pride and joy, they were her world. When Ana was not spending time with her family she enjoyed going out shopping, cleaning and organizing her home. Ana was a dedicated mother, a great sister, friend and neighbor. She will be greatly missed.
Ana was the devoted mother of Cindy M. Simas. She was the beloved wife of John Simas and she was the dear sister of Manuela Goncalo and Duarte Pereira, the caring aunt of Patricia, Steven, Nancy, Tanya and Gilbert, Ana was the sister in-law of Ilda Arsenio and Gilberto Simas.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Thursday, August 8th at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
