George M. DiPace, 87, of East Hampstead, NH, passed away on Tuesday July 30, 2019 at Parkland Medical Center, Derry. He was born on July 17, 1932 in Berlin, NH, a son of the late Joseph DiPace and Alice (Perron) Klaus. He proudly served his country in the US Army. George earned a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and loved sports. He worked for Semtex as a Chief Engineer for 30 years. George played baseball when he was younger, was a Life Member of the American Legion Post #115 in Danville and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Ethel (Bourque) DiPace of East Hampstead; his three sons Mike Leger and his wife Susie of Powhatan, VA, Joe Leger and his wife Mary of Hooksett, and Scott Leger and his wife Jennifer, of Hooksett as well as five grandchildren Sam and his wife Amanda, Ross, Derek, Stephanie, and Katie.
Following cremation, a memorial calling hour was held on Friday August 2nd from 5pm to 6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. The funeral service followed at 6:00pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O. Box 531313, Henderson, Nevada 89053 .
