Jeannette E. (Dupuis) Desroches, 85 of Acushnet died July 29, 2019 peacefully at the Oaks.
She was the wife of the late Charles E. Desroches.
Born in Acushnet, daughter of the late Joseph E. and Jennie H. (Dupre) Dupuis, she lived in Acushnet most of her life.
She enjoyed genealogy, gardening, reading, the company of her pets and spending time with her grandsons and great-grandson.
Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis Soares and her husband Matthew of New Bedford; her son, David Desroches and his wife Nancy of New Bedford; a sister, Irene Gauthier of New Bedford; 2 grandsons, Craig Soares and Brandon Soares; a great-grandchild, Jaxson Soares; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Joseph Dupuis, Jr.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 1st at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Her visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 31st from 5-8 PM.
