Obituary

WORCESTER: Amelia P. "Millie" (Bulonas) Thomas, 81, of 11 Emery St., died Friday, January 13, 2006, in Christopher House, 10 Mary Scano Dr., after an illness.
She leaves her son, Kenneth R. Thomas of Sutton; two sisters, Helen "Lennie" Cross of Dennisport on Cape Cod, Petronella "Pat" Sauro of Oxford; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A sister, Frances Sarapas and a brother, Joseph Bulonas, predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Stanley and Valerie (Chastney) Bulonas and graduated from South High School.
Millie worked 10 years for the City of Worcester as a housekeeper at Belmont Home and as a dietary aide at City Hospital, until she retired in 1986. She previously worked as a checker/inspector at Cornell Dublier. She then worked as a salesperson at G.P. Sherer and later at W.T. Grant. After she retired, she worked as a bagger at Goretti's Market in Worcester.
She was a member of St. Stephen's Church and its Rosary Sodality. She had also been actively involved at the Shrewsbury Senior Center, the Friendly House Senior Crafts Group, St. Anne's Senior Group, Our Lady of Loreto Senior Group, the Retired State County and Municipal Employees Association, Alcoholics Anonymous, and the 59er's Senior Adult Group.
CALLING HOURS will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17 and from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, in ST. STEPHEN'S CHURCH, 357 Grafton St., followed by burial in St. John's Cemetery.
The family suggests donations in memory of Millie be made to Friendly House Multi-Service Center, 36 Wall St., Worcester, MA 01604.
