Karen Ann (Leona) Giorgio, 56, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, July 28th surrounded by her loving family. A life-long resident, Karen was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Angela (Matarazzo) Leona. Karen worked for many years as a manager at the Dockside restaurants in Malden and Wakefield. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson.
Karen was the beloved mother of Richie Giorgio, Stephanie Cree, and Jeffrey Cree Jr. all of Medford. She was the devoted grandmother of Ace Giorgio and the loving sister of Debbie Modugno and her husband Steve of Reading, Carol Fitzgerald and Janet Leona of both of Medford. Karen is also survived by Jeffrey Cree Sr. of Lynn and many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Sunday August 4th from 12 through 4 PM. A memorial service will be conducted in the funeral home at 3:30 PM. Interment will be private.
