Morano of Brockton January 14, 2005 Francis D. “Frank” Morano 82 years. Husband of the late Marjorie E. (Fortier) Morano. Father of Michael Morano and his wife Ann Marie of Plymouth; Patricia Morano of East Falmouth and Mary Frances Martins and her husband Fernando of Easton. Grandfather of Michelle, Michael, Davis- Lynn and Olivia Morano, Andrew, Megan and Melissa Martins. Brother of Pasquale Morano of Revere.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 10 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 11 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 pm. Donations in Frank’s name may be made to the Conte Memorial Club Scholarship Fund 88 W. Ashland Street, Brockton, MA 02301.

Obituary

Mr. Morano died Saturday morning at the Brockton Hospital following a brief illness.He was born and raised in Brockton a son of the late Domenic and Amelia (Venti) Morano and he remained a lifelong resident of the city. Mr. Morano was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1941 and Wentworth Institute Class of 1943. During WW II he was a Sergeant with the 7th Army in Europe attached to the 3rd Army and General Patton.
Mr. Morano was a retired electrician from IBEW Local 223 in Brockton where he was past president, business manager and an officer. For many years he worked at the former MB Foster and was general foreman at the Plymouth nuclear power plant.
Mr. Morano was a member, past president and board member of the VFW Post 1046, the DAV Post 26, AARP and Self Help all in Brockton. He was a past president of the retirees of the electricians local. He was a member and board director of the Conte Memorial Club in Brockton.
Following his retirement he was a volunteer for twelve years at St. Paul’s Kitchen making meals and feeding the homeless. For the past ten years to the present he sponsored parties for the shutins at the Brockton VA Medical Center.
Mr. Morano enjoyed his summers in Falmouth and the seashore. He also enjoyed golf and had been a member of the high school golf team. For many years he and his late wife bowled with a team league at Maple Alleys.
He had been a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church where he served on the parish council and a member of the former Associate Family at Holy Cross Fathers in Easton.
He was the husband of the late Marjorie E. (Fortier) Morano and father of Michael Morano and his wife Ann Marie of Plymouth; Patricia Morano of East Falmouth and Mary Frances Martins and her husband Fernando of Easton. He leaves 7 grandchildren Michelle, Michael, Davis- Lynn and Olivia Morano, Andrew, Megan and Melissa Martins. He was the brother of Pasquale Morano of Revere.
He also is survived by several nieces and nephews
