Dorothy Doris Fendley Lasseter, 88, of Tifton passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Lasseter at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Conway Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 27. 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born September 22, 1930 in Berrien County, Mrs. Lasseter was the daughter of the late Willie Wesley Fendley and Susie Mae Turner Fendley. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Coy Lasseter; and one son, Norman Lassiter. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Lasseter is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Pete Massey of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Al Dube of Abbeville; three grandchildren, Janena Barbaree, Daniel Lasseter and Nickie Lasseter; one great-grandson, Caleb; and her special friend and companion, Denzil Newbern.
