Velma Iris Gierbolini Cruz (68) of Brockton died July 23rd at home under hospice care surrounded by family and friends. She was the wife of the late Miniel Cosme.
She was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico daughter of the late Gilberto Gierbolini and Maria Esther (Cruz Guerrero) Gierbolini. Velma loved to cook and spend time with family and friends especially on holidays.
She is survived by 4 sons, Stanley, Eduardo and Maximo Diaz all of Brockton and Devontay Gierbolini of Boston, 2 daughters, Iris and Ana Diaz both of Brockton, 2 brothers, Hector Jose and Raul Enrique Gierbolini Cruz both of Puerto Rico, a sister Mildred Gierbolini of Puerto Rico, 15 grandchildren, Destiny, Thalia, Emanii, Ana, Bill, Kimberly, Eduardo, Alanii, Maximor, Amanda, Giberto, Julius, Stanley, Juan Carlos and Ivana, 9 great grandchildren, Zayden, Sarenity, Javier, Jordan, Elijah, Elias, Lorenzo, Tony and Elianna.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Sunday July 28th from 4-8 pm. Cremation to follow.
