New Bedford, MA - Jose G. Sanchez, 63, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Monday, July 22nd, at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the loving husband of Milagros (Ortiz) Ortiz of New Bedford.
Jose was born in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico to Maria Sierra and Guillermo Sanchez. He moved to New Bedford, where he worked as a laborer in the construction field and also as a landscaper. He loved spending time with his family, telling jokes and also enjoyed eating candy.
Jose is survived by his wife, Milagros; 2 sons, Jose G. Sanchez, Jr. and Gerardo Sanchez; 3 daughters, Maritza Aquino, Milagros Colon and Maria Colon; several grandchildren; sisters; as well as nieces and nephews.
Jose's visiting hours and funeral service will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Friday morning, July 26th, beginning with visiting hours from 9:00-10:45 A.M. and followed with a service to begin at 10:45 A.M. Burial will immediately follow at Rural Cemetery in New Bedford, MA.
