Steven P. Dumais, 59 Derry, NH passed away Saturday July 20, 2019.
Born April 29, 1960 in Lawrence MA to Kenneth and Betty Dumais. He was a loving and devoted father, son, brother uncle and friend. Steven was a kind and joyful man with a smile that would brighten anyone’s day. He frequently went out of his way to help anyone who needed him to, especially his mother. Steven was a member of the First Baptist of Derry, NH. He was raised in Derry, lived in Lancaster for many years and returned to Derry four years ago. He enjoyed so many things in life, karaoke was high on his list, he also loved to dance and could be seen cutting a rug up at Old Susannah’s in Lancaster back in the day. He was a fan of the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox, pro wrestling, vintage cars and attending car shows. He enjoyed building birdhouses for family and friends. He was a long-time member of the T.O.P.S organization in Lancaster where he made many friends who meant a lot to him.
Steven will leave a very large circle of family and friends as he was loved by many. His father Kenneth Dumais preceded him on May 7, 1993. He leaves behind his mother, Betty Dumais. His children, Roseanna and Joshua Dumais of VT. His brother, Robert and wife Genevieve of CA, his brother Peter Dumais of NV, his sister Susan and her husband Christopher Berntsen of NH, his brother Michael and his wife Robin of WV, his brother Kevin and his wife Su Lien of NH, his sister Nancy Dumais of NH, his brother Philip and his wife Julia of NH, his sister Amy and her husband Randy Lavin of NH and his brother William Dumais of NH. He also leaves behind a larger number of nieces and nephews that loved him so much. He has left a beautiful mark on this world that will forever be lovingly remembered.
Church Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 44 E. Broadway, Derry on Saturday July 27th at 11:00 am. There will be a gathering for close family following the service.
Donations can be made in Steven’s memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005, in lieu of flowers. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium is assisting the family with arrangements.
