Charles “Chuck” M. Sanborn, 63, of Amherst, NH, died Sunday July 21, 2019 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Rutherford, NJ on December 15, 1955, a son of the late David and Isabelle (Reilly) Sanborn. He had been a resident of Amherst for the past 2 1/2 years, formerly living in Londonderry, NH since 1997. Charles was Master Electrician at BAE Systems in Nashua, NH, a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest joys in life were spending time with his family, mountain climbing, exploring the outdoors, and giving of his time and talent to others.
He is survived by his wife Ellen (Lynch) Sanborn of Amherst, NH; his four children, Matthew Sanborn of Cambridge, MA, Catherine Sanborn of Portland, OR, Erin Sanborn of Amherst, NH, and Elizabeth Rios, her husband Austin Rios and their son, Gavin Rios of Brookline, NH; four brothers, David Sanborn and wife Cathy, Donald Sanborn and wife Sue, John Sanborn and wife Martha, and Bill Sanborn; four sisters, Eileen Cramsie and husband Mike, Peggy Kirkpatrick and husband Jim, Mary Borie and husband Ken, and Maureen Morse and husband George; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Calling hours were held on Thursday, July 25th from 4:30pm - 8:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday at 10:00am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road, Londonderry.
