Marion E. (Peltier) Viselli, 99 of Salem, died Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Winthrop Place in Winthrop. She was the wife of the late Rinaldo P. Viselli with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.
Daughter of the late Dennis and Lillian (Dellar) Peltier, Marion was born in Amesbury and raised in Marblehead where she attended Marblehead Schools. Marion worked for Sylvania in Salem for several years and later worked for the former Almy’s Department Store on Essex Street. She retired after 17 years with Almy’s in 1984. She was an avid knitter, enjoyed line dancing, listening to country music and shopping with her daughters.
She leaves two daughters, Donna Viselli, Marlene Callahan and her husband Daniel, her grandchildren, Mark Lewis & Glen Lewis, Laurie Pearl, Michelle Soucy and her husband Bhaird Campbell, Chad Soucy, Keith Belanger & Kevin Belanger as well as eleven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her daughter Janice Belanger, and her brothers, Joseph Peletier & Sylvanus Peltier and her sisters, Rita Megaro, Flora Lees and Lillian Ohlson.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marion’s life by gathering to visit on Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / `1-A] Salem. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 22nd at 11:00 AM in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem. Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., Peabody.
