Paul Edwin Daugherty, 91, of Anderson died July 15, 2019 at Providence Care after an extended illness.
He was born January 10, 1928, in Flora, Illinois, the son of William R. and Elsie A. (Thomas) Daugherty.
He worked at Delco Remy for 35 years and owned and operated Daugherty Water Conditioning. Paul also enjoyed gardening. Paul served in the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Vera Jean (Yocom) Daugherty whom he married in 1948; two sons, Mark (Chisato) Daugherty of Nashville and Myron Daugherty of Elwood; four sisters, Joyce Anderson, Kay Riley, Judy Andersen and Ruth Palmer; six grandchildren, Stacey (Greg) Hofer; Aleshcha (Charles) DeWitt; Cory (Stacy) Daugherty; Travis (Natalie) Daugherty, Kira (fiancé Tim Walton) Daugherty and Laurel Daugherty; 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, William T. Daugherty, Robert E. Daugherty and Philip Daugherty.
Services will be 3 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
