James W. Perry, 60, of Rockland, Massachusetts died on July 13 at Boston Medical Center from his battle with liver cancer.
Born in Weymouth, Massachusetts in 1959 to the late Barbara (Barnes) Perry and Jake Corbett and later adopted by the late Clement Perry.
He spent many years working in the fire protection industry installing sprinkler systems, as well as being a plumber’s apprentice. His attendance at Rockland High School was short lived, and opted to join the Army Reserves instead.
He was an avid outdoorsman, preferring to spend his days in a tree with a bow during the fall and winter months and a fishing rod in his hands during the spring and summer months.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years Debra (Brigham) Perry of Rockland, MA, his daughter Laura Perry of Rockland, his son Steven Perry and his Fiance Fallon Connolly both of Whitman. His sister Susan Fasino and her husband, Jim of Mansfield, his sisters Gayle Malloy, Debra L. Perry, and Diana Perry all of Rockland, his brother Jody Corbett and his wife Liz Profetty of Newcastle, ME, his sister Lisa Russell and her husband Kevin of Ellsworth ME, his brother Billy Corbett and his wife Hang C of Holbrook, his brother Jamie Corbett and his long-time girlfriend Michelle Sergei-Casiano of Holbrook, and his brother Robbie Corbett of Braintree, MA. And also would like to mention Diana and Jim Hunt of Holbrook.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his celebration of life on July 18th at 7:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St ( RT 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Visitation will be prior to the celebration from 4:00-7:00PM. Donations may be made in his name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West/Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445
