Deborah A. (Packard) Jefferson, 68, of Abington formerly of Whitman, died on Tuesday July 9th .
She was born and brought up in Whitman and was most recently a resident of Abington. She was the daughter of the late Angelo and Barbara (Packard) Hynes.
Deborah was a graduate of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School, Class of 1969. She worked for the John Hancock agency, before then caring for her three children , Deborah then returned to work for the Whitman-Hanson Regional School district as a bookkeeper and then secretary for the Special Education Department.
Deborah enjoyed being with her family and adored her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Carrie (Jefferson) Rzasa and her husband Jonathan of Plymouth, her sons Joseph B. Jefferson of Hanson and Daniel J. Jefferson of Whitman, also her sister-in-law Melinda Packard and her 6 grandchildren, Emily Southern-Rzasa, Callie Jefferson, Megan Southern-Rzasa, Jared Jefferson, Grace Southern –Rzasa and Jake Jefferson and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Michael R. Packard.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 16th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St (Rt 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by her funeral mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Visitation will be on Monday July 15th from 5:00-7:00PM
