Eula Batson Drake, 91, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring, Florida with interment in Corinth Cemetery in the Bereah community in Polk County, Florida.
Mrs. Drake was born November 5, 1927, in Graceville, Florida to the late John & Ida Everridge Batson. She was a homemaker and loved to cook and share with friends and family. Mrs. Drake was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Scrabble. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Lavender of Fitzgerald; grandchildren and their spouses: John K. Lavender, III & Ronda of Fort Myers, Florida, Regina Hayes & Tommy of Ocilla, Melissa Maxwell & James of Lorida, Florida, Barbara Lipscomb of Sebring, Florida, Marjorie Teague of Sebring, Florida, Paul Teague & Tracy of Lorida, Florida, James Teague of Lorida, Florida, Sonja Cobb & Nathan of Colquitt, Stacey Paulk & Stuart of Ocilla, William Teague & Chastity of Burnett, Texas, Chad Teague & Rebecca of Colquitt, Tammy Teague of Lyons, and Kim Clifton & John of Tifton; 24 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Arden Drake; two sons: Cecil Teague, Jr. and Roger Teague; two grandchildren: Donnie Teague and Tina Teague; as well as two brothers and two sisters.
