SOMERSET – Maria Isabel (Miguel) Roveredo, age 93, of Somerset, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joaquim Roveredo. Born in Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Miguel and Maria Martins. Prior to retirement she worked as a sewing machine operator for Santoro for many years. Maria enjoyed crocheting and doing everything she could for her family who always came first.
Maria is survived by her children Ana Medeiros of Somerset, Leontina Almeida (husband Luis) and Gabriel Roveredo (wife Fatima) of Açores, Carlos (wife Helena), Humberto (wife Marta) and Leonardo Botelho (wife Alda) and Cidalia Camara (husband Rogerio) all of Fall River, daughter in laws; Lurdes, and Graca Roveredo, 26 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons Joaquim and Jose Roveredo and her siblings Maria Rego, Antonio Martins, Manuel and Firmino Miguel.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday, July 15 here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. John of God Church at 10 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Sunday, July 14 from 5-8 P.M.
